包装部門ディレクター/ Director of Packaging

A renowned manufacturing company is looking for a Director of Packaging. The selected candidate will lead packaging innovation strategy, technical development, commercialisation, and team capability building across complex cross-functional programs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the packaging innovation pipeline by translating strategic priorities into executable development plans
• Drive future-focused packaging concepts by identifying long-term trends, system needs, and emerging opportunities
• Provide technical leadership for new packaging designs, materials, and technologies from concept to commercialisation
• Align major packaging programs with marketing, supply chain, quality, regulatory, procurement, and external partners
• Ensure system readiness by supporting technology transfer, commercialisation, troubleshooting, and scalable implementation
• Build team capability by coaching experts, strengthening technical standards, and promoting innovation, governance, and portfolio discipline

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in packaging engineering, materials/polymer science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related field
• More than 10 years of professional experience
• More than 3 years of experience in leading projects or teams (global or regional packaging development responsibilities is ideal)
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory affairs
• Familiarity with intellectual property laws and patent interpretation
• Native level English and Japanese
