パッケージ開発部長/ Packaging Development Director

A renowned manufacturing company is looking for a Director, Packaging Development. The selected candidate will lead packaging innovation strategy, advanced technical development, cross-functional execution, and team capability building across the full pipeline.

Responsibilities:

• Translate packaging strategy into clear development priorities and an executable innovation pipeline
• Lead future-focused packaging innovation by identifying trends, emerging materials, technologies, and system needs
• Provide technical direction from concept to commercialisation for packaging designs, materials, and scalable solutions
• Align stakeholders across marketing, supply chain, quality, regulatory, procurement, and partners to drive major programs forward
• Enable commercialisation by ensuring packaging readiness across manufacturing, dispensing, vending, and distribution systems
• Build team capability, strengthen governance, and oversee portfolio budget, compliance, risk, and value delivery

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Packaging Engineering, Materials/Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• More than 10 years of professional experience
• More than 3 years of experience in leading projects or teams (global or regional packaging development responsibilities is ideal)
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory affairs
• Familiarity with intellectual property laws and patent interpretation
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Native level English and Japanese
