チーフエンジニアリングマネージャー/ Chief Engineer Manager

A global data centre infrastructure company is seeking a Manager, Chief Engineer. The selected candidate will oversee critical facility operations, manage engineering teams, ensure infrastructure reliability, and lead maintenance, safety, and performance optimisation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain high-quality standards by ensuring the team plans, prepares, performs, and reports maintenance activities effectively
• Ensure reliable infrastructure operations with a focus on energy efficiency, service continuity, and budget management
• Monitor site conditions through systems and regular inspections to maintain continuous oversight
• Oversee team workflows, training plans, hiring, performance management, and customer communication
• Provide technical guidance on maintenance strategies, including MOP development, testing plans, and capital planning
• Execute daily engineering and operational activities to ensure safe and effective equipment operation
• Promote a team-oriented environment and enforce accountability for maintenance activities
• Ensure customer-focused service delivery through strong team performance
• Ensure 24/7 operational readiness with emergency standby coverage
• Enforce compliance with safety policies, PPE usage, and operational procedures
• Review and approve electrical solutions and switching operations for planned and unplanned events
• Monitor facility conditions and implement corrective actions for performance issues
• Ensure adherence to MOP, SOP, EOP, and ERP procedures and maintain updated documentation
• Manage audits, compliance, and continuous improvement of operational procedures
• Monitor infrastructure load capacity and prevent system overloads
• Provide technical leadership during critical incidents and operational challenges

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering, business or related field
• More than 5 years of experience in facility or plant engineering and maintenance supervision
• More than 3 years of experience in management with direct reports
• Experience in managing preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Experience in electrical switching and mechanical service operations with relevant certification
• Knowledge of circuit breaker operations and safety procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and building automation systems such as BMS and CMMS
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Experience in contractor management, site governance, and operational compliance
• Professional level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with ISO and OHS or EHS control processes
• Experience with design and technical tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore
