アプリケーションエンジニアリングマネージャー/ Application Engineering Manager

An international automotive equipment company is looking for an Application Engineering Manager. The selected candidate will lead a team of engineers, manage customer relationships, and drive technical support for business development. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coach a team of Application Engineers, ensuring performance management and development
• Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, Tier suppliers, and distributors as a trusted technical counterpart
• Engage in customer negotiations to support business development and secure new opportunities
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams locally and globally, with a focus on Asia-Pacific
• Represent the team in global meetings to align strategies and secure international support
• Oversee value proposition development for customer applications, balancing technical and business needs
• Support development projects, including design verification and process validation in global facilities
• Manage engineering and process changes as well as quality issues with cross-functional teams
• Gather customer needs, identify new business opportunities, and report to internal stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering is ideal)
• More than 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, including design or development roles
• Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams
• Experience in Automotive OEMs is ideal
• Prior CAE experience (1D simulation, FEM) preferred
• Solid understanding of automotive development processes and vehicle systems such as powertrain and chassis
• Technical knowledge in material mechanics, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics
• Knowledge of bearings and applications in EV powertrain and chassis preferred
• Business level English (TOEIC 700+)
