General Manager

A global automotive components manufacturer is searching for a General Manager. The chosen applicant will be responsible for developing strategic directions for the territory and individual plants.

Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic directions for the territory and individual plants with the management board and regional management team
• Monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives to drive business growth
• Ensure customer satisfaction by offering excellent services in quality and delivery
• Optimise plant efficiency while ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations
• Implement internal metrics to achieve operation excellence and maximum profit
• Plan, coordinate, and complete annual budget and medium-term plans
• Build up a result-oriented company culture through strong team spirit and good internal communication

Requirements:

• More than 15 years of experience leading operations in the auto industry with a footprint in Japan (additional experience in Southeast Asia is preferred)
• Strong operation background with in-depth knowledge of the auto industry and a thorough understanding of the auto market especially Japan OEM customers
• Demonstrated strategic planning experience and strong P&L management
• Experience in the commercial chuck and off-highway business is a plus
• Exceptional regulatory knowledge
• Visionary leader with a demonstrated track record of success operating in APAC
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent level English
