Head of Business Planning and Analysis

A renowned pharmaceutical company is looking for a Head of Business Planning and Analysis. The selected candidate will lead financial planning, performance analysis, and strategic decision support while building a high-performing BPA function.

Responsibilities:

• Lead financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to deliver accurate and timely business insights
• Build dashboards and early-warning tools to flag risks and identify growth opportunities
• Develop mid- and long-term financial plans aligned with strategic business priorities
• Analyse sales, costs, cash flow, and project economics to uncover value drivers
• Advise senior leadership on revenue improvement, cost optimisation, and performance enhancement
• Mentor and strengthen the BPA team while advancing analytics, benchmarking, and resource allocation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, accounting, economics, or related field (MBA is ideal)
• More than 10 years of experience in FP&A or finance-related roles
• More than 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity
• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management in complex environments
• Proficient in financial modelling and analytics (MS Excel and tools like SAP and Power BI)
• Fluent level English; proficient in Japanese is ideal

Preferred requirements:

• Possess valid CPA or CFA qualification
