財務アナリスト/ Financial Analyst

A renowned renewable energy company is looking for a Financial Analyst. The selected candidate will lead financial modelling, M&A support, budgeting, and market analysis to drive strategic investment decisions across renewable projects.

Responsibilities:

• Support end-to-end M&A execution from pre-NBO to closing, managing valuation, modelling, due diligence, and coordination
• Build and refine financial models for greenfield and M&A projects, conducting valuations and sensitivity analyses
• Assess off-taker creditworthiness through financial statement review and precedent transaction analysis
• Collaborate with Business Development, M&A, Engineering, Asset Management, Legal, Compliance, and external advisors to ensure smooth project execution
• Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting, monitor performance variances, and recommend cost optimisation strategies
• Prepare financial reports, approval materials, dashboards, and conduct market research across solar PV, onshore wind, and BESS sectors

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
• More than 3 years of financial modelling or M&A experience, renewable energy is ideal (solar PV/onshore wind/BESS industry or a related industry within the infrastructure/project finance segment)
• Understanding of modelling and financial analysis
• Proficient in MS Office
• Native level Japanese; proficient in written and spoken English

Preferred requirements:

• Master’s degree or certification (e.g., CFA Level I, II or III)
• Knowledge with project finance concepts such as DSCR, LLCR, debt sizing, PPA structures
