FP&Aリーダー/ FP&A Leader

An international advanced manufacturing company is looking for an FP&A Leader. The selected candidate will act as a strategic finance partner to plant leadership, driving financial planning, performance management, compliance, and data-driven decision-making to support plant growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the Japan plant
• Deliver clear insights on financial performance, variances, profitability, and cost trends
• Build financial models to support operational decisions and growth initiatives
• Partner with plant leadership, operations, supply chain, and procurement teams
• Translate financial data into actionable recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, production variances, and manufacturing KPIs
• Optimise resource utilisation, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement with operations teams
• Support capital investment analysis, capacity planning, automation, and make-versus-buy decisions
• Oversee customer P&L and drive profitable growth
• Own plant financial performance aligned with regional and global objectives
• Provide real-time financial guidance, scenario planning, and decision support
• Anticipate risks and opportunities and propose proactive solutions
• Ensure compliance with global finance policies, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Improve forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and financial transparency
• Implement scalable best practices to support ongoing plant expansion

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• 5-8 years of FP&A or operational finance experience
• Experience in manufacturing or plant operations within an MNC environment
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, production finance, and operational KPIs
• Proficient in SAP, financial reporting tools, ERP platforms, and advanced Excel or BI tools
• Possess a valid professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or MBA
• Professional level Japanese; basic level English
