A leading investment firm is looking for a Research Analyst, Macro & Micro. The selected candidate will conduct in-depth economic and corporate research to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on Japan’s macroeconomic landscape and targeted industries
• Analyse company data and trends in relation to economic developments
• Utilise Japanese data sources for economic and business insights
• Draft policy briefs and analytical reports for internal stakeholders
• Monitor key developments in Japan’s economy, politics, and finance
• Collaborate across regional teams while managing independent research initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in economics, political science, public policy, or a relevant domain
• Experience in research relevant Japan’s economic policies, financial sector, political context, or specific industries
• Prior experience in journalism, policy, or finance is ideal
• Knowledge of Japanese public and industry data
• Understanding of global and regional issues affecting Japan’s economy and markets
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Fluent level Japanese and English
