シニアマネージャー　経理・税務/ Senior Manager Accounting & Tax

A global pharmaceutical company is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting & Tax. The selected candidate will lead USGAAP reporting, statutory filings, and tax management while overseeing controllership activities across multiple entities and centres of excellence. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes, including BS/PL analysis
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial statements with USGAAP and JPGAAP standards
• Manage Corporate Income Tax, Consumption Tax, Office Tax, Fixed Asset Tax, Withholding Income Tax, Revenue Stamp Tax, and Transfer Pricing/APA topics
• Supervise local tax filings and coordinate outsourced Corporate Income and Consumption Tax processes
• Facilitate external and internal audits, collaborating with auditors and centres of excellence
• Manage tax audits and interactions with authorities, tax team, and Tax CoE
• Collaborate with Tax CoE and Corporate Transfer Pricing team on key tax and TP matters
• Oversee budgeting and profitability processes, including quarterly adjustments and transfer pricing updates
• Manage intercompany back charges, alliance transactions, and pension activities
• Serve as Local Technical Accounting Network (TAN) member and advisor on statutory and USGAAP matters
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for cross-functional projects and accounting compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• More than 10 years of relevant experience in Finance
• More than 5 years of experience in a global or multi-divisional organisation
• Proven experience in managing tax filings, cross-functional projects, and financial close
• Prior experience as a manager or supervisor in a multinational environment
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
• Knowledge of Japan GAAP and Japan tax regulations
• Skilled in SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, and Concur
• Possess a valid CPA, MBA, or equivalent qualification
• Fluent level written and verbal Japanese and English
