シニア税務マネージャー/ Senior Tax Manager

A global medical devices company is looking for a Senior Tax Manager. The selected candidate will lead the tax team in Japan, overseeing local tax planning, compliance, and corporate reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, direction, and team management, guiding the team through changes and enhancing performance
• Manage local tax reporting and compliance activities, ensuring timely submissions to headquarters and tax authorities
• Offer tax advice on planning, transfer pricing, group issues, M&A, divestitures, and other requests
• Manage relationships with tax authorities and external consultants
• Develop and retain high-performing talent within the team, providing training and knowledge-sharing opportunities
• Oversee US legal entity reporting and ensure SOX compliance within the tax team
• Provide local tax input to global/regional projects before implementation
• Build strong relationships with other Country Tax Centres and stakeholders across the AsPac region

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting or tax
• More than 12 years of corporate international tax experience in multinational corporations or international tax firms
• Proven experience managing a tax team in-house
• Strong project management skills with the ability to drive change
• Ability to explain complex tax issues to non-tax colleagues and provide practical recommendations
• Possess a valid Certified Public Tax Accountant (CPTA) is ideal
• Fluent level Japanese and English
