APマネージャー/ AP Manager

A global financial services company is looking for an Accounts Payable Manager. The selected candidate will lead the Accounts Payable team and oversee invoice processing, vendor relationships, and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the accounts payable team
• Oversee daily processing and verification of invoices
• Ensure timely reconciliations and handle financial transactions
• Address vendor queries and maintain relationships
• Update and manage vendor information
• Handle employee expense claims and approvals
• Review reports and schedule payments
• Support month-end closing and reconciliations
• Assist with audit-related documentation
• Implement process improvements within the department
• Ensure compliance with company policies
• Train and develop team members

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting or a relevant domain
• Experience in accounts payable and accounting
• Prior experience in a managerial role is a plus
• Proven experience with COUPA or a similar electronic AP invoice approval and payment platforms is ideal
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and accounting packages
• Knowledge with Japanese business etiquette and communication styles
• Understanding of Japanese accounting standards and regulations
• Fluent level Japanese; proficient in English
