APアカウンタント/ AP Accountant

A renowned company in the automotive industry is looking for an AP Accountant. The selected candidate will manage accounts payable and support various financial tasks. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Book invoices accurately and timely for relevant departments
• Process payments for all suppliers
• Control logistics supplier invoices, verifying amounts with warehouse quantities and addressing discrepancies
• Reconcile general ledger accounts related to AP
• Maintain fixed assets registers
• Perform daily bank reconciliations, including bookkeeping for automatic and ad hoc payments
• Handle monthly bookkeeping for expat payroll
• Forecast month-end bank balance by mid-month
• Manage monthly remittance to the intercompany treasury centre
• Process tax payments (import consumption tax, withholding tax, health, pension, labour insurance, corporation tax, regional tax, automobile tax, depreciable assets tax)
• Conduct quarterly intercompany reconciliation via Hyperion system, coordinating with overseas counterparts
• Reconcile treasury clearing bank at month-end or the first business day of the next month

Requirements:

• Experience assisting with year-end closing and tax accounting
• Advanced skills in SAP
• Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, SUMIF etc.)
• Knowledge of JGAAP
• Strong attention to details
• Fluent level Japanese; intermediate level English
