Head of Controlling

A global manufacturing company is looking for a Head of Controlling. The selected candidate will lead financial planning, performance analysis, cost control, compliance, and team development while supporting strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead annual planning and quarterly forecasting by aligning key financial assumptions
• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with variance analysis and recommendations
• Support executive reporting by preparing materials for leadership and board presentations
• Build business cases, scenario models, and profitability analyses to guide decision-making
• Oversee cost accounting, pricing analysis, and SAP cost model improvements
• Manage internal controls, accounting policy compliance, and the development of the controlling team

Requirements:

• More than 8 years of experience in finance and controlling
• Experience in people management
• Prior experience with BI tools (Fiori, Looker Studio) for reporting automation
• Knowledge with IFRS and Japanese GAAP
• Proficient in SAP
• Fluent level English and Japanese
