財務コントローラー/ Financial Controller

A leading digital infrastructure company is looking for a Financial Controller. The selected candidate will establish financial governance, lead controllership functions, and support strategic growth across regional operations. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and manage financial controllership functions including accounting, reporting, and compliance
• Oversee statutory reporting, tax filings, and audits with external advisors
• Ensure financial visibility across entities and projects in collaboration with finance and investment teams
• Design and implement financial governance frameworks aligned with global standards
• Build and maintain internal controls for construction and operational projects
• Ensure compliance with corporate, tax, and financial regulations
• Act as key contact for internal audit, compliance, and governance reviews
• Partner with project, construction, and operations teams to provide financial oversight
• Support investment decisions through financial modelling, capex tracking, and variance analysis
• Collaborate with treasury, FP&A, and legal teams on funding and banking operations
• Contribute to business planning, risk assessment, and performance management
• Establish and develop local finance capabilities and processes
• Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and financial excellence

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• More than 10 years of experience in financial controllership, accounting, or audit leadership roles
• Experience in financial reporting, compliance, and governance frameworks
• Proficient in financial modelling, analysis, and reporting processes
• Ability to operate independently in a cross-functional and multicultural environment
• Fluent level English and Japanese

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in infrastructure, real estate, or energy sectors
• Experience building finance functions in high-growth or private equity environments
• Possess a valid CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent certification
