内部統制スペシャリスト/ Internal Controls Specialist

A global sports apparel and equipment manufacturer is looking for an Internal Controls Specialist. The selected candidate will strengthen internal controls, support SOX compliance, manage cross-functional initiatives, and promote control awareness across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, document, and assess the internal control framework for SOX compliance
• Partner with APAC and global teams on internal control projects and drive local implementation
• Support local brand and functional teams in rolling out internal control initiatives
• Identify and assess key risks across financial reporting, business processes, and retail operations
• Develop policies and procedures to strengthen controls, ensure compliance, and improve efficiency
• Promote internal control awareness through continuous employee education
• Escalate control weaknesses, irregularities, and policy deviations to key stakeholders

Requirements:

• More than 10 years of experience in Finance
• More than 3 years in a similar Internal Control or Internal Audit role
• Knowledge of internal control frameworks and hands-on experience in their implementation and assessment
• Professional level Japanese; business level reading and written English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience working in an accounting firm or audit firm
• Prior accounting background
• Proven experience in the retail industry
