ファイナンシャルコントローラー/ Financial Controller

A global engineering solutions company is looking for a Finance Controller. The selected candidate will oversee end-to-end finance operations, drive strategic financial analysis, and provide commercial decision support to maximise profitability and growth for the country/region.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the financial strategy, aligning controlling activities with commercial priorities
• Lead planning, forecasting, and the full FP&A cycle, including annual budgets and scenario planning
• Provide financial analysis and guidance on business strategy, pricing, channel mix, and investment decisions
• Partner with senior stakeholders to translate financial performance into operational and commercial actions
• Manage month-end closing, reporting, variance analysis, and accountability for key financial KPIs
• Collaborate with regional and corporate teams to communicate financial strategies and ensure compliance
• Evaluate strategic growth options, investment appraisals, and business development opportunities
• Oversee tax management, regulatory reporting, and coordination with external advisors
• Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships with financial analysis and due diligence
• Develop and refine financial models, including P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, and commercial models
• Assess and implement finance systems to ensure data integrity, process efficiency, and management insight
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team, ensuring succession planning and workload balance
• Monitor financial audits, manage responses, and implement remediation actions
• Evaluate major sales bids and manage project performance, revenue recognition, and risk assessments
• Ensure financial practices comply with legislation, group policies, and ethical standards

• Professional level Japanese and English
