財務コントローラー/ Finance Controller

A renowned energy company is looking for a Finance Controller. The selected candidate will oversee financial reporting, cash flow, compliance, and internal controls across multiple jurisdictions. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes across Japan, Taiwan, and Korea
• Prepare and review financial statements ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Strengthen internal accounting policies, controls, and systems to support growth
• Support external audits and shareholder reporting
• Oversee cash flow, liquidity management, and banking relationships
• Lead internal accounting team and coordinate with external providers for statutory and management accounts

Requirements:

• More than 7 years of experience in finance and accounting
• Experience working with institutional investors or financial sponsors
• Prior experience working with multinational teams
• Proven experience with Japanese GAAP and IFRS
• Understanding of IFRS and multi-entity structures
• Native level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Possess valid accounting certifications (CPA, Tax Accountant, ACCA, etc.)
• Background in APAC jurisdictions such as Taiwan, Korea or Australia
