上級財務コントローラー/ Senior Finance Controller

A renowned real estate company is seeking a Senior Finance Controller. The selected candidate will oversee finance leadership, reporting, compliance, tax, payroll, and risk management across Japan. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead financial planning cycles and provide strategic guidance to management
• Oversee accounting operations and ensure accurate reporting under GAAP/IFRS
• Manage statutory compliance, tax filings, and external/internal audits
• Supervise payroll, HR administration, and labour compliance
• Strengthen internal controls and oversee risk governance
• Optimise ERP/reporting systems and drive automation initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, accounting, economics, or related discipline
• More than 10 years of experience in finance or accounting roles
• More than 10 years of experience in HR administration and payroll processes
• More than 5 years in a senior controlling position
• Experience with corporate budgeting, forecasting, overseas reporting, and financial performance management
• Understanding of Japanese statutory reporting, tax, labour law, and local regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with internal controls, auditing standards, and financial governance
• Knowledge with IFRS16 lease accounting
• Native level Japanese; business level English
