アカウンティングコントロール＆タックス/ Accounting Control & Tax

A global energy company is looking for a Senior Associate, Accounting Control & Tax. The selected candidate will oversee accounting operations, audit and tax compliance, and drive process improvements to support business growth. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate monthly accounting records under IFRS/Group Accounting Policies and JGAAP
• Submit timely monthly group financial reports and ensure minimal inter-company discrepancies
• Manage tax compliance and submissions across multiple tax categories, working with tax agents
• Coordinate financial audits and reviews with external auditors and internal teams
• Lead finance process standardisation, documentation, and investment handover for projects and M&A
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost reduction
• Manage division budgets and ensure adherence

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting
• More than 7 years of experience in SPC accounting
• Prior audit experience is ideal
• Previous experience with system implementation, process improvement, RPA, or BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau is an advantage
• Experience in the renewable energy industry is a plus
• Knowledge of JGAAP and IFRS
• Understanding of Japanese tax, project finance, and financial reporting in English
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred
• Background in international environments is a plus
• Possess a valid CPA, Tax Accountant, or USCPA qualification is desired
• Fluent level Japanese and English
