財務コントローラー/ Financial Controller

A renowned IT company is searching for a Financial Controller. The chosen applicant will be in charge of managing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing with outsourced vendor
• Manage the company’s accounting operations
• Verify invoices and payment instructions for AP and issue invoices for AR, including deciding GL codes requiring accounting knowledge
• Review financial statement reporting under JGAAP or USGAAP by providing instructions on accounting treatment and reviewing reporting packages prepared by the outsourced vendor
• Prepare budgets and conduct monthly variance analysis
• Handle lender reporting, including DSCR tests and waterfall calculations
• Approve employee expense reimbursements
• Review tax filing documents

Requirements:

• 5-6 years of accounting or financial audit experience
• 2-3 years of SPC accounting experience is highly preferred
• Intermediate level or above in MS Excel
• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting is a plus
• Working experience in Big 4 accounting firms or equivalent is preferred
• JCPA or J Tax Accountant is preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Possess a valid Nissho Boki 3rd grade
• Native level Japanese; business level written and verbal English (TOEIC 750+)
