ファイナンシャルコントローラー/ Financial Controller

A renowned pharmaceutical company is looking for a Financial Controller. The chosen applicant will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company’s manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all plant-level accounting and finance operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
• Conduct financial analysis and present reports to management highlighting variances, risks, and opportunities
• Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for the plant
• Monitor actual performance against budget and forecasts, providing corrective action recommendations
• Implement and oversee cost accounting systems to ensure accurate tracking of raw materials, labour, and overhead
• Strengthen internal controls, risk assessment, and financial governance within the plant
• Act as a financial business partner to plant management, quality assurance, and supply chain teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, finance, or related field
• 5-7 years of progressive finance or accounting experience
• More than 3 years in manufacturing (pharmaceutical preferred)
• Experience in multinational corporate environments
• Familiarity with IFRS/US GAAP
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of Japanese tax regulations, labour laws, and corporate governance requirements
• Posses a valid CPA, CMA, or equivalent Japanese accounting qualification is strongly preferred
• Business level Japanese and English
