シニアファイナンシャルコントローラー/ Senior Financial Controller

A renowned technology solutions company is looking for a Senior Financial Controller. The selected candidate will analyse and redesign accounting processes, implement efficiencies, and lead the transformation of the accounting department. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accounting entries are correctly made in line with US GAAP and implement processes for efficiency
• Apply internal controls and monitor their effectiveness continuously
• Manage inter-system linkage to process candidate transactions and propose improvements when necessary
• Prepare annual tax statements and coordinate with local tax authorities
• Work with external auditors to provide necessary information for the annual audit
• Provide consultation to internal teams on revenue and cost recognition, tax implications, and compliance
• Lead process re-engineering initiatives with a Kaizen mindset where appropriate

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration
• More than 5 years of experience in accounting or finance with experience leading a team
• Proven experience in day-to-day accounting practices and US GAAP
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/tax preparation software
• Possess a valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA), (US, JP, or other major jurisdictions) or MBA qualification is preferred
• Native level Japanese; professional level English
