Finance Director

A global sporting goods company is looking for a Finance Director. The selected candidate will lead accounting operations, ensure compliance, and drive strategic financial initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting operations, including billing, AR, AP, and revenue recognition
• Oversee financial closing processes and ensure accurate reporting
• Lead audit processes and maintain strong internal controls
• Establish financial reporting systems to meet regulations and tax filing requirements
• Drive organisational effectiveness through process optimization and problem-solving
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team to achieve departmental goals

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, finance, or a relevant domain
• More than 3 years of experience in supervisory capacity, managing people and projects
• More than 2 years of experience in accounting leadership role in western multinational companies
• More than 2 years of experience with financial management software (SAP and Oracle)
• Experience creating financial statements, general ledger functions, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and tax filing
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Business level written and verbal English and Japanese
