ファイナンスディレクター/ Director of Finance

A leading luxury travel platform is looking for a Director of Finance. The selected candidate will lead finance operations, oversee accounting, compliance, financial planning, treasury management, and provide strategic financial support to drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Own statutory reporting requirements, including J-GAAP compliance, corporate tax filings, and consumption tax obligations
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisers, and regulatory bodies
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with global accounting policies
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Prepare statutory and group financial statements
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes
• Deliver variance analysis and financial performance reporting
• Build financial models for scenario planning and long-range planning
• Track and report key financial and operational KPIs
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital
• Oversee foreign exchange exposure and coordinate hedging strategies
• Maintain banking relationships and negotiate banking facilities
• Partner with business leaders to support commercial decisions and market expansion
• Evaluate investment proposals, vendor contracts, and commercial initiatives
• Support due diligence activities and promote financial accountability across the business

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 8–12 years of progressive finance experience
• More than 3 years of experience in a leadership or senior individual contributor role
• Deep knowledge of Japanese tax law, J-GAAP, and statutory compliance requirements
• Proven experience managing full-cycle accounting, financial planning and analysis, and treasury functions
• Strong financial modelling and MS Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems such as Xero, NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent
• Business level Japanese; working proficiency in English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in a high-growth technology, e-commerce, travel or hospitality business
• Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments with cross-border intercompany transactions
• Familiarity with global consolidation reporting under IFRS or US GAAP in addition to J-GAAP
• Experience in a regional or global matrix organisation
• Possess a valid CPA, CA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification
