財務マネージャー/ Finance Manager

A multinational mobility solutions company is looking for a Finance Manager. The selected candidate will oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and team management while ensuring compliance with IFRS and local standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop the Japan finance accounting team to support organisational growth
• Structure and improve accounting operations in line with corporate guidelines and business objectives
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and Japanese GAAP across all financial reporting activities
• Maintain integrity of accounts through monthly balance sheet reviews, accruals, and prepaid expenses management
• Oversee general accounting, fixed assets, and inventory valuation in coordination with plant and FP&A teams
• Control payroll accounting in coordination with the HR department
• Support SAP system enhancements and act as a key user for finance modules
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory authorities on financial matters
• Prepare corporate tax returns and support tax-related computations including consumption tax and withholding tax
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and costing processes for Japan operations
• Prepare financial and ad-hoc reports for local and group management
• Ensure compliance with internal control, quality, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree or above
• More than 10 years of experience in accounting, costing, pricing, and financial reporting
• More than 5 years of experience in team management as a finance manager or chief accountant

3-5 years of accounts payable experience in the automotive industry

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A processes
• SAP experience, including FI, CO, MM, and SD modules
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Japanese GAAP reporting
• Native level Japanese; fluent level English

Preferred requirements:

• Working or living experience abroad
• Big 4 audit background
• Automotive or manufacturing industry experience
• Possess a valid Japanese CPA or US CPA qualification
