会計リーダー/ Accounting Lead

A renowned luxury retail company is looking for an Accounting Lead. The selected candidate will oversee closing, reporting, tax coordination, finance operations support, process improvement, and team leadership across the Japan business. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities with accuracy and on-time delivery
• Maintain the general ledger, review journal entries, and perform reconciliations and financial analysis
• Prepare statutory reports and support financial statement compliance with J-GAAP and internal standards
• Coordinate local tax matters, including JCT filings, audit support, and collaboration with external advisors
• Support AP and AR operations, business initiatives, and cross-functional finance requirements
• Drive process improvements, support audits and internal controls, and mentor a direct report

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance or accounting
• 5-7 years of accounting experience (multinational company environment is ideal)
• Experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting (including hands-on involvement in month-end and year-end closing cycles)
• Understanding of ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Familiarity with reporting system (HFM is ideal)
• Understanding of Accounts Payable (P2P) and Accounts Receivable (OTC) processes
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Professional level written and spoken English; proficient in written and spoken Japanese

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in the retail or consumer goods industry
