アカウンティング＆コントロールズマネージャー/ Accounting & Controls Manager

A global advanced manufacturing company is looking for an Accounting & Controls Manager. The selected candidate will lead plant accounting, internal controls, tax compliance, financial reporting, and finance partnering to support operational performance and regulatory integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Lead plant accounting operations, including general ledger, closing, and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with Japanese GAAP, US GAAP, statutory requirements, and corporate control standards
• Strengthen internal controls through risk assessments, audit coordination, and process improvements
• Manage corporate tax, consumption tax, local tax filings, provisioning, and tax accounting
• Develop the finance team and promote accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
• Partner with operations, supply chain, and procurement to support investments, inventory optimisation, automation, and system upgrades

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, finance, or related field
• More than 10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in manufacturing environments
• Prior experience in multinational companies
• Proven experience managing accounting operations for large-scale facilities
• Background with internal controls, audit coordination, and tax compliance
• Prior background with SAP
• Knowledge of SOX/internal control frameworks
• Understanding of US GAAP & Japanese accounting standards and tax regulations
• Possess valid CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent certification
• Native level Japanese; professional level English
