GL会計士/ GL Accountant

An international luxury fashion company is looking for a GL Accountant. The selected candidate will manage general ledger activities, month-end closing, payments, and cross-functional coordination to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post bank payments, clearing entries, and manage bank balance interfaces to SAP
• Review and approve employee and shop reimbursements and prepare related summaries for HR
• Download, collect, and process invoices, including accounts payable booking and payment execution
• Handle month-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Coordinate with external parties such as banks, law firms, tax consultants, and insurance companies
• Process e-tax portal payments and real estate tax payments with accurate journal entries
• Communicate with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and issue accounting-related announcements as needed
• Support preparation of board meeting minutes and assist with ad-hoc tasks assigned by regional management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting or a related field
• More than 5 years of hands-on accounting experience
• Solid experience in general ledger, accounts payable, and month-end closing processes
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Ability to work closely with APAC regional stakeholders and perform effectively under pressure
• Professional level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in the retail industry
• Possess a valid CPA certification
