財務・ビジネスサポートマネージャー/ Finance and Business Support Manager

A foreign hospitality management company is searching for a Finance & Business Support Manager. The selected applicant will support financial reporting, analysis, and planning to drive management decisions and hotel performance. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Provide financial analysis and modelling to support management decision-making and long-term planning
• Assist in financial evaluations for new initiatives, investments, and business proposals
• Support development of hotel strategic plans to drive profitability and growth
• Prepare, consolidate, and analyse monthly and quarterly financial reports in alignment with JGAAP and Group policies
• Perform variance analysis and provide commentary comparing actuals to budget, forecast, and prior year
• Coordinate annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes for timely submissions
• Conduct benchmarking and trend analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations with financial insights and recommendations
• Maintain accurate general ledger and prepare journal entries according to accounting standards
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and resolve outstanding items
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, tax regulations, and internal controls
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control
• Work with hotel operations, revenue management, and corporate teams to ensure financial alignment
• Supervise Finance staff and outsourced accounting team for accurate accounting and timely reporting

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in finance, accountancy, or a related field
• More than 5 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry
• In-depth knowledge of Japan’s financial regulations, statutory requirements, and tax legislation
• Solid grasp of Japanese GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficient in MS Office and financial systems such as SAP or other ERP platforms
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient in Japanese and English

Preferred Requirements:

• Exposure to hotel pre-opening projects and working with international hotel brands
