Head of Finance

A global IT company is looking for a Head of Finance. The selected candidate will lead the Finance function, oversee accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and drive strategic financial planning. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Finance function across accounting, FP&A, treasury, and tax
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate reporting under Japanese GAAP and IFRS
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to support strategic decisions
• Partner with leadership to provide insights on profitability, cost , and KPIs
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, tax obligations, and global finance standards
• Implement process improvements, automation, and best practices to enhance efficiency

Requirements:

• Experience as a finance leader (Head of Finance, Finance Director, Senior FP&A/Accounting Lead)
• Prior experience in FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and business partnering with senior management
• Proven experience managing audits, tax matters, treasury, and compliance in complex, cross-functional environments
• Background in multinational or high-growth companies
• Knowledge in accounting and reporting
• Understanding of Japanese GAAP and IFRS
• Fluent level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Possesses valid CPA or equivalent qualifications
