財務マネージャー/ Finance Manager

A global technology company is searching for a Finance Manager. The selected applicant will supervise accounting support functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and handling complex accounting issues.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise accounting support staff in the processing of invoices, vouchers and postings to the general ledger
• Supervise credit and collection efforts and cash-related processes
• Plan and coordinate work assignments and verify the work of subordinates
• Handle non-routine and complex accounting problems and provide data for periodic financial statements
• Compile and prepare reports required by management and outside agencies
• Develop successful working relationships with other departments
• Perform other duties as required by management to support and maintain the integrity of financial data
• Keep abreast of current accounting issues through self-study, internal and external training courses
• Demonstrate good understanding of Tax Framework
• Improve, develop, and maintain a sound documentation system to support accurate GST reporting
• Apply sound knowledge of SOX requirements
• Instil and encourage healthy attitudes and teamwork within the accounting department through daily communication and periodic reviews

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• More than 10 years of related experience in a management position
• Experience with multinational large companies
• Experience in accounting and spreadsheet software
• Experience with building a multi-entity accounting services organisation is a plus
• Experience within a high-tech manufacturing environment is preferred
• Experience with SAP is a plus
• Experience in a well-established international audit firm is a plus
• Possess a valid CPA or MBA
• Professional level Japanese and English
