財務マネージャー/ Finance Manager

A leading international investment banking organisation is seeking a Japan Finance Manager. The selected candidate will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance for Japan operations. This is a direct contract-to-permanent position.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements in IFRS and JGAAP for group and local reporting
• Manage financial operations including budgeting, cost analysis, and vendor payments
• Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulators for statutory and compliance requirements
• Oversee capital adequacy calculations and board reporting
• Coordinate with global shared service centers for accounting processes
• Drive process improvements and support financial analysis for new business initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Experience in finance/accounting operating with ERP and accounting software in financial services industry
• Understanding in IFRS, JGAAP, corporate income tax, and C-tax
• Proficient in written and spoken Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Prior securities brokerage industry experience is desired (specifically in Japan Financial Services Agency reporting and Capital Adequacy Ratio calculation)
• Possess valid accounting, bookkeeping, and/or taxation certification will be an advantage
