シニアアカウンタント/ Senior Accountant

A global power trading company is seeking a Senior Accountant. The selected candidate will oversee accounting and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial books and records in compliance with reporting standards and statutory requirements
• Perform monthly and quarterly closing processes to ensure timely and accurate group and statutory reporting
• Reconcile accounting data with trading systems to verify the accuracy of financial ledgers
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages and statements
• Handle corporate income, consumption, and business tax filings and related journal entries
• Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring proper documentation and compliance
• Identify and implement process and control improvements to enhance reporting quality and efficiency
• Support IT initiatives related to accounting and taxation systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives
• Ensure adherence to accounting, trading, and compliance standards

Requirements:

• 5–10 years of accounting and/or tax-related experience
• Proven experience in financial reporting and tax compliance
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Professional level Japanese; proficient in English
