Head of Accounting

A Head of Accounting role is now open in an international school. The selected candidate will handle budgeting, reporting, and forecasting to ensure the organisation's fiscal health and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Finance Office team, including performance evaluations and workload scheduling
• Oversee the implementation and periodic review of the school’s financial procedures and policies
• Act as the primary liaison with banks, investment brokers, and financial service providers
• Generate and present monthly and year-end financial reports to school administration and governance
• Coordinate and lead the school’s annual financial statements audit and support related external audits
• Administer the payroll process and ensure compliance with tax and labour regulations
• Support long-term financial forecasting and planning in collaboration with the Director of Finance & Operations
• Represent the Finance Office in meetings, events, and interactions with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Nissho Boki level 2+ or CPA
• Comfortable operating in a multicultural environment
• Strong collaborator with experience working within and across teams
• Excellent project management skills
• Knowledge of MS Office, Google Office Suite, and other similar software products
• Bilingual level Japanese and English
