SPC税務経理マネージャー/ SPC Tax and Accounting Manager

A global professional services firm is seeking an SPC Tax and Accounting Manager. The selected candidate will oversee accounting and tax compliance, manage client onboarding, and lead a team to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and review accounting outputs, including financial reports and year-end accounts
• Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing technical training and guidance
• Act as a statutory or representative director for select client entities
• Oversee tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely corporate and consumption tax filings
• Provide final sign-off for tax reporting before submission to public officers or tax agents
• Manage tax registrations and deferred tax calculations for new and existing clients
• Lead client onboarding, defining service protocols and ensuring compliance with internal procedures
• Establish and update tax and accounting compliance procedures based on client needs
• Ensure client work is completed within budget and manage billing for services provided
• Supervise daily staff workload, assignments, and client-related activities
• Conduct staff performance appraisals, identifying skill gaps and training needs
• Handle performance management, including disciplinary actions when necessary

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accountancy or business-related domain
• More than 10 years of experience in accounting and tax (focused in SPC is a plus)
• Experience in IFRS, USGAAP, JGAAP conversion
• Prior experience in real estate industry (asset manager and tax accountant office, and audit firms)
• Possess valid zeirishi, USCPA, JCPA, MBA, Boki 1 kyu, Takken, and Japan Tax qualifications
• Understanding of IFRS, US-GAAP, and Japan tax
• Skilled in MS Excel
• Proficient in Japanese and English
