オペレーションズディレクター/ Operations Director
A leading premium beverage company is looking for an Operations Director. The selected candidate will lead operational strategy, ensure compliance, and drive performance, safety, and organisational growth during a major expansion phase.
Responsibilities:
- Lead overall operations in line with budgets, targets, and strategic plans
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business unit and group objectives
- Ensure effective resource management and organisational development
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and operational standards
- Promote a safe working environment and strong safety culture across the organisation
- Oversee health, safety, environment, quality, and operational risk management
- Manage local affairs as the legal representative of the entity
- Drive cost and cash management including value engineering initiatives
- Monitor operational performance and implement corrective and continuous improvement actions
- Lead strategic and transformational projects ensuring delivery against plans
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with internal teams, government bodies, and external partners
- Act as a spokesperson with key stakeholders including industry bodies, clients, and partners
- Analyse business performance and implement actions based on insights and trends
- Promote company values and foster a high-performance organisational culture
- Coach and develop teams, supporting succession planning and talent development
- Ensure effective communication across teams and external partners
- Drive QSE compliance and ensure systems and processes meet operational standards
Requirements:
- More than 10 years of business experience
- More than 7 years of experience in operational production, factory, and people management
- More than 3 years of experience in quality, food safety, and environment
- More than 3 years of experience in health, safety, and risk management
- More than 3 years of experience in lean or equivalent and product development
- Experience in strategy, planning, project management, change management, and organisational development
- Proficient in stakeholder management, production management, and operational performance
- Fluent level Japanese and English
Preferred requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical or engineering field or similar
- Experience in manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of environment and sustainability, consumer insight, and business and financial acumen
