オペレーショナルコントローラー/ Operational Controller

A global healthcare company is looking for an Operational Controller. The chosen applicant will be driving process simplification, internal controls rigour, technical accounting compliance, and operational excellence. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting aspects of daily business operations, including accounts payable, banking, treasury, and other non-commercial processes
• Maintain controllership rigour in all operational activities and ensure compliance with internal and external accounting standards
• Drive process simplification, manual journal reduction, and automation initiatives
• Support shared service hub strategy and monitor service quality related to bank transaction booking and payment operations
• Manage treasury and banking processes to ensure operational safety and compliance
• Collaborate with the Global Transfer Pricing team to ensure compliance with TP policies and intercompany agreements
• Partner with the customs leader to ensure customs payments comply with applicable regulations
• Maintain strong relationships with external financial institutions
• Lead company-wide projects such as ERP module implementations and digitalisation initiatives

Requirements:

• 4-10 years of public accountant experience or relevant accounting managerial experience in a multinational business
• Experience in the healthcare industry or a similar industrial sector is advantageous
• Skilled in LEAN or Kaizen
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Solid US GAAP knowledge (CPA is preferable)
• Japan GAAP knowledge is a strong plus
• Treasury experience is a plus
• Experience in Oracle financial systems is a plus
• Business level Japanese and English
