シニア日本語言語学者/ Japanese Senior Linguist

A renowned translation services company is looking for a Japanese Senior Linguist. The selected candidate will manage translation and copy-editing tasks, coordinate with freelancers and clients, and ensure high-quality linguistic deliverables. This is a remote role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform copy-editing and on-demand translation tasks
• Lead linguistic activities on assigned accounts
• Manage and maintain language resources, glossaries, and style guides
• Coordinate with freelancers, agencies, and internal linguists
• Resolve terminology and language queries, ensuring smooth team interactions
• Support process improvements and quality initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Translation/Applied Languages/Linguistic Studies
• More than 8 years of relevant experience in translation/localisation/editing or content writing
• More than 5 years of review experience
• 2-5 years of experience in translating
• Prior user experience of standard CAT tools, e.g. XTM, SDL Studio and issue tracking and query management tools, e.g. JIRA
• Proven user experience of standard software, such as Windows and Office applications
• Knowledge of the localisation process
• Understanding of terminology used various subject matters
• Subject-matter expert within company for assigned content specialities, service lines and processes
• Ability and willingness to train or teach others and pass on knowledge
• Fluent level written and verbal English
