EQオペレーションズ/ EQ Ops

A global investment bank company is seeking an EQ Ops professional. The selected candidate will manage the trade lifecycle process, ensuring accurate booking, settlement, and compliance for Japan and non-Japan equity trades. This is a haken role.

Responsibilities:

• Support trade lifecycle processes, including booking, confirmation, and settlement of equity trades
• Coordinate with front office, custodians, and internal teams to resolve trade discrepancies and ensure timely settlement
• Assist with margin calls, coupon redemptions, and account maintenance
• Help onboard new accounts and maintain settlement instructions (SSI)
• Monitor and resolve failed trades in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
• Contribute to automation and system improvement initiatives
• Prepare operational and regulatory reports
• Conduct reconciliations between firm repositories, risk positions, and exchange records

Requirements:

• Prior experience in equity middle office or settlement operations
• Experience in project work, such as system migrations or regulatory implementations
• Familiarity with Japanese and international equity markets
• Knowledge of systems such as CTM, SmartBridge, and internal booking platforms
• Background in global financial institutions
• Possess a valid JSDA Class 1 or 2 certification
• Business level Japanese and English
