知的財産（特許）担当/ Patent Agent

A renowned cosmetics and beauty products manufacturer is looking for a Patent Agent. The selected candidate will support invention discovery, patent filing and prosecution, right-to-market analysis, and patent portfolio development for R&D teams. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Identify inventions with laboratory teams and surface patentable ideas
• Assess patentability and support preparation of NOIs and technical notes
• Coordinate with external counsel on patent drafting and pre-filing review
• Prepare and prosecute patent applications across all stages
• Analyse right-to-market matters and deliver legal reports
• Manage the patent portfolio and provide IP training to laboratory teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in chemistry, material sciences, chemical engineering or similar domain (advanced degrees is ideal)
• 3-5 years of experience in patent counselling (including drafting patent applications and prosecution applications in the Patent Office)
• Experience in providing legal opinions (patentability and right to market)
• Prior experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications
• Proven experience in a multinational and multicultural environment and willingness to learn, adapt, and cooperate
• Professional level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Possess valid qualification as a registered patent attorney
