社内法務担当者/ In-House Legal Counsel

An international premium athletic brand is looking for an In-House Legal Counsel. The selected candidate will manage legal, commercial, and compliance matters while supporting contract negotiations and risk management for the business. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support across all matters and advise on legal, commercial, and compliance risks in Japan
• Review, negotiate, and manage lease agreements with landlords for retail locations
• Draft and review commercial contracts, including construction, design, advertising, and partnership agreements
• Prepare and manage model agreements and other operational legal documents
• Act as the key legal contact for internal stakeholders and external parties
• Support the business as a standalone legal professional within the organisation

Requirements:

• 6–8 years of legal experience
• Experience working in multinational companies and handling diverse legal matters
• Proficient in drafting and reviewing commercial and operational contracts
• Ability to work independently as a standalone legal professional
• Professional level Japanese; high business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Law degree or above
• Experience in retail or brand companies
• Background in legal firms supporting multinational, sports, or retail clients
