法務顧問/ Legal Counsel

A global financial services company is looking for a Legal Counsel. The selected candidate will provide legal advice and risk management support across multiple business areas, including GTS, lending, and procurement, ensuring compliance and mitigating legal risks.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel and support on complex matters within the Covered Areas
• Act as a trusted advisor to business units, delivering pragmatic and commercially sound advice
• Identify and manage legal risks in collaboration with the second line of defence functions
• Liaise with Group/ASP Legal and external law firms as necessary
• Monitor legal developments and inform management of material implications
• Support operational effectiveness by recommending improvements to policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
• Foster cross-country and cross-business collaboration and share legal best practices
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to colleagues to ensure high-quality legal support

Requirements:

• More than 3 years’ post-qualification experience
• Experienced and confident practitioner
• Knowledge of developments in the financial sector
• Possess a valid lawyer qualification
• Native level Japanese; business level English
