法務顧問/ Legal Counsel

An international data centre and energy company is looking for a Legal Counsel. The selected candidate will provide commercial legal advice, draft and review contracts, and support strategic projects across multiple business areas.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts under supervision of senior lawyers
• Provide practical legal advice to non-legal staff across business units
• Support initiatives to improve internal processes and legal operations
• Monitor and coordinate legal team queries and requests
• Manage external legal counsel in Japan and APAC
• Develop knowledge of company operations, technologies, and services
• Identify complex legal issues and propose effective solutions
• Deliver legal advisory support and training for business operations
• Educate staff on legal matters and compliance awareness
• Contribute to global and regional legal initiatives and projects

Requirements:

• Law degree from an accredited law school
• More than 5 years of post-qualification experience
• Experience or interest in financing, real property, energy, construction, or major projects is a plus
• Background in business law at a reputable law firm with strong commercial acumen
• Skilled in drafting, negotiation, transaction management, and stakeholder relations
• Possess a valid lawyer qualification in Japan (Bengoshi)
• Professional level Japanese; business level written and verbal English
