法務マネージャー/ Legal Manager

A multinational luxury company is seeking a Legal Manager. The selected candidate will oversee contracts, compliance, retail-related legal issues, and labor law matters across diverse business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for procurement, sales, leasing, franchising, and marketing
• Provide legal guidance on retail operations, eCommerce, and customer-related issues
• Advise on HR policies, employment agreements, and manage labor-related disputes
• Ensure compliance with corporate regulations and industry-specific laws
• Manage dispute resolution, litigation, and government inquiries
• Collaborate with internal teams, regional legal teams, and external counsel

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in law
• More than 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficient in drafting and reviewing various types of contracts in Japanese and English
• Skilled in MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of key Japanese laws related to business operations (labor law, real estate law, consumer protection law, and corporate law)
• Understanding of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, Antimonopoly Act, Unfair Competition Prevention Act, Copyright Law, and the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions is a plus
• Possess valid Bar qualification in Japan or other jurisdiction is preferred
• Proficient in spoken and written Japanese and English
