コーポレートカウンセルマネジャー/ Corporate Counsel Manager

A multinational biotechnology company is searching for a Corporate Counsel Manager. The selected applicant will be in charge of leading and supporting a broad range of legal and compliance matters.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a broad range of legal and compliance matters, including government contracts, antitrust, marketing and promotions, intellectual property, trade compliance, and anti-corruption
• Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements with vendors, partners and customers
• Lead a robust compliance culture across diverse businesses and provide guidance/improve processes on regulations surrounding the businesses
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes
• Lead and mentor junior legal team members, fostering an environment of collaboration and inclusion
• Handle dispute resolution with a focus on achieving favourable outcomes for the company

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 8 years of related legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department with a strong commercial focus (substantial experience supporting multinational companies is a plus)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Team player both inside and outside the legal function
• Ability and willingness to lead or mentor junior legal team members
• Japanese bar qualification
• Native Japanese; business level written and verbal English
