リーガルカウンセル/ Legal Counsel

A global pharmaceutical company is seeking a Legal Counsel. The selected candidate will provide legal and compliance support across business operations, contracts, and regulatory matters. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Advise management on legal, compliance, and commercial issues, including contract drafting and review
• Support labor law matters, negotiations, and legal documentation in coordination with HR and Employment Law Global Counsel
• Review product-related materials and ensure compliance with local laws and company standards
• Provide legal guidance on permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements for local operations
• Assist with corporate secretarial matters and ensure regulatory compliance
• Manage external legal counsel, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality advice

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in law
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Prior experience in rare diseases as an inhouse counsel is a plus
• Understanding of general corporate law and regulatory law impacting the pharmaceutical industry (commercialisation and promotion of pharmaceutical products, and in the review of promotional and non-promotional materials)
• Proficient in written and verbal Japanese and English
