シニアコーポレートカウンセル/ Senior Corporate Counsel

A global technology company is looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel. The selected candidate will provide high-quality legal services and analysis in commercial transactions while collaborating with business and operations teams.

Responsibilities:

• Provide practical and timely legal services in commercial transactions in Japan
• Assist business teams in negotiating and managing agreements
• Supervise outside counsel and advise internal clients
• Contribute to the legal team's development of knowledge and processes
• Handle pre-litigation and litigation activities, managing disputes effectively
• Conduct M&A due diligence and negotiations from a commercial perspective

Requirements:

• 10-15 years of relevant professional legal experience
• Practical experience in handling and resolving disputes or litigation in various jurisdictions
• Expertise in closing complex commercial transactions (direct sales, channel sales, IP licensing, etc.)
• Knowledge of commercial and corporate legal issues, and intellectual property law
• Understanding of anti-trust, trade compliance, privacy, regulatory and open-source issues
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Possess a valid Japan Bar qualification or registered as foreign lawyer at the Japan Bar
• Fluent level verbal and written English and Japanese
