A global automotive manufacturer is looking to hire a Legal Project Staff. The selected candidate will be responsible for driving values, strategic vision and business goals of the brand by implement effective legal services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and recommendations to business functions
• Draft and review commercial contracts
• Assist in M&A and cooperation projects
• Communicate and work closely with external legal advisers
• Maintain internal and external compliance with applicable rules and regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in law
• Law firm or in-house legal experience is desired
• Expertise in Japanese civil and commercial law
• Good understanding of the data protection law
• Ability to identify and confirm the specific business goals of each task and provide cost-efficient solutions
• Ability to increase value of a legal department through prioritising business objectives, reducing spending and complexity
• Native Japanese and business level English
