リーガルおよびコンプライアンスカウンセルマネージャー/ Legal & Compliance Counsel Manager

A multinational healthcare technology company is seeking a Legal and Compliance Counsel Manager. The selected candidate will provide in-house legal support, manage compliance risks, and advise the business on legal, regulatory, and governance matters. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on contracts, agreements, and legal documents
• Provide legal and compliance advice to support business decision-making
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, industry codes, and anti-corruption requirements
• Execute compliance strategies to mitigate legal and regulatory risks in operations
• Develop and deliver legal, compliance, and privacy training programs for employees
• Manage team members and oversee day-to-day legal operations
• Control the legal budget and monitor expenditure risks

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in law
• 8–10 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience
• Experience in law firm and in-house legal environments
• Proven experience advising on commercial, corporate, and compliance matters
• Strong legal academic credentials
• Possess a valid license to practice law in Japan or another jurisdiction preferred
• Fluent level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Legal education from a Commonwealth jurisdiction
• Prior experience in healthcare related industry
• Experience in compliance-related work
• Possess a valid licence to practice law in Japan or another jurisdiction
